Courtney & Daniel Paduch's Wedding

 When: August 25, 2012 - 5:15 PM
Where: Ocean View Lawn, Wailea, Maui, Hawaii
Who: Daniel Paduch & Courtney Willis
 What: Wedding of a Lifetime

Courtney & Daniel knew back in December 2011 that they wanted to be married in Maui. Living in PUYALLUP, WASHINGTON, they were sure that they didn't want to be married at home, and didn't have a problem convincing their families that Maui would be a great choice for their wedding... and a great family vacation to boot!

They immediate realized after looking at the Hawaiian Island Weddings web site, that the Ocean View Lawn at the Gannon's restaurant was the perfect spot to tie the knot. Each of them had three attendants standing up with them. Morgan, Courtney's sister, was fittingly the Maid of Honor. The color scheme was purple, and was complemented by a background of vibrant purple bogenvillas, the setting could not have been more colorful.
Courtney & Daniel also knew from the get-go that they wanted to have their pastor preside over the ceremony.  REV. DENNIS STOUFFER and his wife were happy to take the trip and marry the young couple. Rev. Stouffer had to make special arrangements with the State of Hawaii Department of Health  to obtain special permission to legally marry Courtney & Daniel here in Maui.

The decorations were simple & elegant. Courtney immediately fell in love with with the Tropical Topiarias shown on the web site. The florist matched her color scheme perfectly by adding miniature purple calla lilies, bird of paradise, pink ginger and pincushions.

Although the wind was very strong and the "sail like" topiary fell over before the ceremony, the quick thinking groomsmen and Dan ingeniously rigged fishing line to lava rocks to keep the decoration in place during the ceremony. Smart thinking guys!

Courtney & Dan wrote their own very touching vows and read them to each other while holding back tears of emotion. If was obvious, by any bystander, that they truly love each other deeply.

The scene was set for the picturesque wedding at the Ocean View Lawn at the Wailea Emerald Golf Course & Gannon's Restaurant. Courtney & Dan were married at the "Upper Wedding Knoll" location. It was decided that wedding, originally planned for the "Lower Wedding Knoll", would be best on the upper knoll because the sun would have been in the background and right in the guests eyes. Good call Courtney!

The Lower Wedding Knoll as seen from the Upper Wedding Knoll at 5:45 PM. The rolling hills of the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Wailea Emerald Golf Course provides a picturesque backdrop to a elegant Maui wedding. You can even see the nearby islands of Kahoolawe and Molokini Crater in the background. The Lower Wedding Knoll has a beautiful view of the cool Pacific Ocean and is best for morning wedding ceremonies.

Congratulation Courtney & Daniel!! We wish you all the happiness that life has to offer!
