Kahu Kamuela Rodrigues have been working for Hawaiian Island Weddings, Inc. since 2010.
 From the beginning, Hawaiian island Wedding's philosophy has been to provide our couples
with the authentic Hawaiian wedding experience. We sought to work with ministers of 
Hawaiian ancestry who could provide our couples with a real Hawaiian cultural experience. 
 
We have employed a number of Hawaiian and mixed Hawaiian ministers throughout the 
years, namely; Rev. Rodney Shim, Pia Aluli, Keoki Sousa, Jesse Nako'oka, Kumu Kelii Tau'a,
 Alapaki Terry, Vance Rosete, Adam Gomes, Lennie Pokipala, and others. When I first 
was introduced to Kahu Kamuela Rodrigues, I knew he would be a great addition to our 
Hawaiian minister ohana. Kamuela even studied under Kumu Kelii Tau'a, Jesse Nako'oka, 
and was mentored by Kahuna "Papa" Kalua Ka'aihue and Kamuela's grandfather, who was 
also a healer, Eugene Clark from Kihei.

Once we heard Kamuela Rodrigues perform an ancient Hawaiian chant and ceremony, he quickly became one of our favorite Hawaiian speaking ministers and earned the distinction as our Associate Minister on Maui. Besides including the blowing of the Pū, performing the Hawaiian blessing, and chanting during our traditional Hawaiian wedding processionals, Kamuela is also an authority for Hawaiian blessings and ash-scattering. He would prepare a ho'okuou for the ashes as an offering and make a fresh batch of 'awa to share with the attendees for cleansing and ho'oponopono at the ceremonies.
