Hawaiian Island Weddings - Diamond Collection
Celebrating 33 years of Hawaiian Island Weddings. If you know me, you know that I can't leave well enough alone. Well, I changed the website to a new concept. Back in the mid 2000's we offered 30 different wedding packages. I've realized that that was way too many choices to make someone make. You know, they say if you have just a few choices. then you will make up their mind faster and book, You have too many choice and you go round and around and ust give up. Many wedding companies have these wedding packages, they are all on the beach at Makena Cove, usually in the morning or mid moring, the packages are like $1200, $1300, $1500, $1600 & $1900. They are escentually the same thing with more photos, or with a bouquet, or with a musician, or a sand ceremony , etc. Well, that is not how we do things. Those are called additional services, or add-ons to us.
I was talking with the guy from Yelp, a 24 year old by the name of Keaton. His girlfriend's name is Nicole. He asked if I wanted more business, So I thought, I really just want to keep my minister Jofrey feed with some minister only gigs, and if I was to have more business, it would just be the higher end wedding packages we offer. See https://hawaiianislandweddings.com/index_2026.html It has 3 categories, with 11 wedding packages. Last year we did one Sunset Sail Wedding fun!, and one beach elopement at $1500 which we only made a minimal profit, like $200. So, no more published rates, unless you look closely.
Words Like Cheap, Simple, Affordable, Intimate, & Elopement
We aren't gonna use these words anymore, I always thought that by continously lowering the cost of Maui weddings you really cheapened the island. Maui is a Luxury place, the weddings should reflect that. I don't want your aerage Joe & Jane who come from Minnisota to be married as cheaply as possible on the beach. And all thee wedding companies who compeated with each other lowering prices have been part of the proble, I only want te decerning wedding couples, those who can afford a wedding and aren't so interested in the price, but rather appreciate first class service.
Here is the line-up:
Private, no crowds to deal with, plenty of parking, guests park once and have the wedding & reception at the same place, or we can pick them up at their hotels. The food is exceptional and not too costly. Archway, aisle, chairs for all the guests, steps away from the reception. This is such a great location, I had my daughter's wedding here in 2021. Your reception can be customized to have music, dancing and mic for toasts and M/C.
This Venue is one of my Favorite and still is very affordable.
This is the best wedding in Maui, I think, why I chose to be married
When you want to limit your guests, but you also want the most private of ceremoinies,
The two hour cruise is morelike a coctail hour, a wedding ceremony, and a thrill ride. If you want the cruise can be extended. Usually, more than 2 hours will get a little boring. Although, we have a musician who will play anything you choose. It's really like a family. We will have a minister, coordinator, photographer, videographer and musician, along with the captain and crew. So, if you have 10-15 guests it will work.
An Amazing Location...
Get Ready There, Oceaniew Ceremony, Amazing Reception Spot
The on;y problem with the Olowalu Plantation House is that since it's one of the only locations like this, they are often booked out more than a year in advance. So if you arn't fleible forget it. The charming plantaion home is like a museum, it really is a museum. The other issue is, they require the wedding coordinator to be there until the cleanup, so it's a lot of extra hours that we are paying out people to just hange around. This is not my favorite venue, but it still makes the Diamond Collection for Hawaiian Island Weddings 33 year picks.
The Maui Villas is Truely My #1 Choice! 5 Stars
I have been to the Villas many time, for meetings, for weddings, but I havve never been able to stay there. You can stay 5, 6 or 7 nights or extend if you wish, and you can rent 1, 2, 3 or 4 Villas, you can accommodate up to 24 + people. You can choose to have a catered dinner. Or, you can have a luau the night of your wedding. We can also have our personal chef make meals for you thoughtout the week if you wish. We also will have all the beverages of your chose for the ceremony and for the week, delivered by the biggest liquor store in Maui. ust let us know what your needs are and we will be happy to arrange it for you. This is going to be where I stay on my 10 year anniversary in 2027.I can't wait!!
Ever since I invented the Traditional Hawaiian Wedding for my wife Sheri some 30 years ago, we have done this wedding every yearm year after year, many times for ust the couple attending. It takes about 10 vendors and entertainers to produce this wedding. Minister, Coordinator, Photographer, Vidographer, 2 Kahili Bearers, Conch Shell Blower, 1 or 2 Hula Dancers, Musician. This was my wedding, so I really feel close to the feelings when all these very special Hawaiian professionals get together. It's not a tourist thing, this is how it was really done back in Hawaii of old.
"The Dove Wedding"
- Spirit of Aloha Temple Botanical Gardens and Bird Sanctuary
Thanks to Fredrick Swaroop Honig for making this place become a reality.
The store is a herotic one and the accomplishments that wer made at thisplace say it all... It is really the Spirit of Aloha. We only had one wedding here but I have been a few time for meetings of the Maui Wedding Association. The amazing more than 100 white birds (pue bread homing pigions) will be the star of the show, they will follow you wherever you go at the gardens, they really are amazing.
