Lauren & Michael's Wedding ~ 9/30/12

Lauren & Michael are from Darwin Australia, home of the Darwin University, in the North West Territory in Australia.

They stayed with their families in the new Trump International hotel in Waikiki and chose Magic Island as their wedding site. Although their hotel is almost walking distance to the park, the wedding specialists at Hawaiian Island Weddings arranged a 16 passenger stretch Hummer for Lauren and her guests to arrive in style.

Officiating the ceremony was the popular Oahu minister Rev. Jofrey Rabanal. Reverend Rabanal has a heartfelt religious, and a flowing non-religious, ceremony that he delivers in a caring tone. After the guests arrived, he took control and explained to the families & guests that there would be a little "walk in the park" down to the wedding site. I wonder if he ever was a tour guide?

Lauren wanted her wedding to be a simple one, so she selected the Deluxe Waikiki Wedding package offered by Hawaiian Island Weddings. Besides the luxury transportation, Lauren and Michael added a cute mini seashell cake with white chocolate seashells and coral nestled on a bed of "golden sand" (Maui Raw Sugar). Delicious! Also included in their package were:

  • Minister of your choice
  • Marriage License Arrangements
  • On-site Coordinator
  • Decorative Wedding Certificate
  • Witnesses if needed
  • Non alcoholic Toast
  • Traditional Hawaiian Leis
  • Professional Photography
  • 24 Images on a CD
  • Oahu Beach Park Location

The folks at Hawaiian Island Weddings even had a special surprise for the couple. They arranged a secret flower shower and invited the guests to scatter them over the couple. I think Michael was pretty surprised by the look on his face.

The sunset was a beautiful that evening and gave a warm glow to the photos taken after the wedding.

Wishing you two all the happiness that life has to offer! Congratulations Lauren & Michael... I'm sure that you will bring a part of Hawaii back to Australia... and want to return to paradise real soon.

Aloha!
